I didn’t know my father had glaucoma. He called in tunnel vision. He had the operation. I didn’t know glaucoma could be inherited.
I developed cataracts but didn’t associate it with glaucoma. I went to see the eye specialist and he said I had glaucoma plus cataracts. He didn’t know if the operation would do any good.
I had the cataract operation and the result was excellent, I could see. I hadn’t been to an optician for 5 years previously, if I had it would have been picked up.
I now take eye drops regularly and up to now have had no further problems.
Be aware that certain respiratory treatments can affect glaucoma. Talk to your doctor.
