I was diagnosed 6 years ago at aged 52 with open angle glaucoma.
I have extremely thin optic nerves. I’ve lost a lot of ganglion cells. Funny thing is I currently have no vision loss and even drive a commercial vehicle. Pass a Visual Field Test (VFT) no problems.
I am mindful though that this could change quickly and I am worried about losing my vision. (I dislike VFT’s too). I am currently on Ganfort.
Make sure you stick to your treatment plan. Fingers crossed for everyone who has glaucoma. Stay positive!
