I was diagnosed with normal tension glaucoma 17 years ago. It was a random optometrist Vision Field Test (VFT) that diagnosed it.

I've had many years of drops, several lots of SLT. I continued to lose sight at Intraocular pressures (IOP) of 14 and 15. I've lost about 25% in one eye and 10% in the other.
Two years ago, I had a trabeculectomy in both of my eyes. I've never been so grateful to be on an operating table. My glaucoma is stable and I'm using hydration drops for very dry eyes. IOP 7 and 9 usually. I can still drive.
I've mostly made my peace with glaucoma.
