I had no inkling of glaucoma until I had my cataract operation. The only vision trouble I had observed was when I drove at night time. When cars were stopped in front of me at a traffic light, the tail lights looked like red jellies.
I now have eye drops every night, and they keep my glaucoma under control. I am an artist and sculptor, and I also read a lot including music notations. I still sew also, but do find threading needles a little harder.
I think my glaucoma was caught early enough to be controlled with the drops, and I still drive, just not at night.
