I left the Army after 30 years’ service during which I had spectacles prescribed (age 28 years) but I had never had a full eye examination.
At my wife’s suggestion I contacted an ophthalmologist and found I had substantial loss of vision in one eye and some loss in the other – pressures 27 and 28.
I have since been managed by Prof Goldberg and both eyes are stable. I have daily drops Simbrinza and DuoTrav.
I have contacted my family about the need for glaucoma checks with no positives so far.
