I developed glaucoma 10 years ago, as it is hereditary and my mother had been diagnosed with it.
I have to take eye drops once a day at night, one in each eye. I don’t really feel like I have glaucoma, as there are no symptoms.
I see a specialist doctor twice every year. For one appointment I have the visual field test, and my pressures tested. The second appointment is to have x-rays of my eyes taken.
I have been lucky so far as I have had no symptoms, and my condition has not worsened.
I am thankful to my doctor for his continual visits, and I do not have to wear glasses.
