Medical student and Glaucoma Australia Clinical Volunteer
Richard is a third-year medical student and really enjoys learning about the eye, and believes that vision is one of the most important senses, as it contributes greatly to a person's quality of life.

Throughout his ophthalmology placements, Richard has seen how debilitating glaucoma can be, and how that leaves many patients anxious about their vision.

Richard says...
"Volunteering at Glaucoma Australia has been very rewarding as patients are always grateful for the support that you give them, even if it is through a simple phone call. Being able to listen to each patient’s story has been insightful, and I hope that I have been able to assist in their understanding of their condition."

In his spare time, Richard enjoys eating food, playing basketball and going on outdoor adventures.
