Dr David Wechsler is an experienced Ophthalmologist specialising in Glaucoma. Graduating with First Class Honours from the University of Sydney (MB, BS, 1997), he then completed Ophthalmology training (FRANZCO) in Sydney in 2006, before undertaking a Glaucoma Fellowship in the UK. He has been in private practice in Sydney since 2007, and is now the medical director and Senior Specialist at Burwood Eye Clinic.
In addition to his private practice, David is the senior Glaucoma consultant at Concord Hospital, and has been a visiting specialist to Royal Darwin Hospital since 2014. He is a current examiner for the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists, and has held various leadership roles within the profession. He also holds academic appointments at Sydney University, and Macquarie University.
