Would you like to share your views on glaucoma surgery for an exciting new research study?

Researchers at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) are conducting a project to find out about peoples’ priorities when choosing between different types of surgery. This has the potential to change the way doctors discuss surgery with their patients and influence the development of new techniques.

This study is looking to recruit anyone with glaucoma who:

  • Has glaucoma but has NEVER had glaucoma surgery before (excluding laser or cataract surgery).

  • Currently uses 2 or more eye drop medications (including a combination drops such as Duotrav, Cosopt, ec.) OR currently takes oral tablets for glaucoma (e.g. Diamox).

  • Can communicate in English and is aged over 18.

You will be asked to complete a short survey and give your answers during a 15-20 minute phone call.

If you would like to participate, you can apply via this link:

You can also email the lead researcher, Dr. Zayn Al-Timimi, directly (z.al-timimi@student.unsw.edu.au), or you can call 9348 0390 and leave your name and contact details, and a researcher will be in touch.
