Researchers at UNSW are conducting a new clinical research study to investigate the link between glaucoma and the levels of vitamins and/or inflammatory mediators in tears. You could help this important research by joining this study!
You may be eligible to apply if you;
- Are 40 years or older;
- Are diagnosed with any type of glaucoma OR have healthy eyes;
- Are NOT a current contact lens wearer;
- Have NO autoimmune diseases or neurologic diseases like Parkinson’s disease;
- Have NOT had an eye infection, eye trauma or eye surgery within the past month;
- Have NOT used steroid tablets or eye drops in the past week;
- Do NOT have severe dry eye.
You will be required to complete a 10-15 minute paper-based or online questionnaire based on your food intake over the past week. Your tears will be collected using a non-invasive method.
