I was diagnosed with glaucoma 19 years ago when I was 37. My aunty on my father’s side also had glaucoma.

I was also born with congenital cataracts but despite intensive and frequent visits to ophthalmologists from a few months old, I was only diagnosed with glaucoma later in 2006. I have a fantastic ophthalmologist, and my eye pressure is within normal levels and stable.
I am extremely grateful to be an Australian and receive exceptional medical care. I also want to thank Glaucoma Australia for their excellent services and support.
