Our Senior Patient Educator, Sapna Nand is nominated for a Westfield Local Hero award!

Sapna is an empathetic healthcare professional who supports hundreds of people at risk of losing their sight or who have lost their sight because of glaucoma. As an orthoptist at Glaucoma Australia, Sapna gets to know each patient and regularly checks in to ensure they have the resources they need.

One of her achievements is the high level of treatment adherence among her patients, which is more than double the national average!

Westfield Local Heroes are nominated and voted for by their communities, with the three top finalists per Westfield centre each awarded a $10,000 grant for their affiliated organisation. If Sapna is successful, Glaucoma Australia will use the funds to run local support groups.

Voting ends on 30th August - be sure to get your votes in today!
