I was diagnosed with glaucoma by a specialist at 65 after my optician found I had elevated eye pressure. 2 years later I had a stroke in the optic nerve of my right eye, which greatly reduced my vision and took away my central vision also.

I also have visual snow syndrome and see many strange things and now have very low night vision. I’m on Cosopt or equivalent morning and night in both eyes and HyloForte as my medication for red eye inflammation. This has kept my eye pressures down in both eyes, and my ophthalmologist tells me my optic nerve and macula are stable, and that my vision in my left eye is good. For me this is a good news story at the moment. I try not to worry about a stroke developing in my left eye which would render me legally blind.
