Glaucoma Australia Grants make significant contributions to Australian medical, and social research into glaucoma. They are awarded following rigorous evaluation, based largely on the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) process, along with peer review, to ensure that the successful applicants meet the highest standards.
The next round of Research Grants for research commencing in 2020 has opened and applications will be accepted from 1 July 2019 until 1 September 2019, and the successful recipients will be announced on World Sight Day – 10 October 2019.
The charity is committed to investing a total grant pool of $200,000 for the next round. It is anticipated that up to 3 or 4 grants of $AU 50-100K per annum between 1 and 3 years duration will be awarded. Seed fund grants could be used to apply for further funding with NHMRC or other agencies.
The closing date of application, including all required documents is 5pm (AEDT) 1 September 2019. An electronic copy must be received by this date.
